U-Turn (1997)
Not really that strong of a picture. The story is about a man who, while on the run from bookies who are trying to kill him, experiences car trouble and has to stop in a strange littleArizona town where everyone he encounters seems to be out of their mind. He meets a beautiful woman and quickly becomes romantically involved with her. She ends up being married and hires the man to kill her husband. The film is full of great visuals and bizarre characters, but doesn't make up for lack of plot. This is the first film Stone has directed that he didn't also have a screenplay credit.
