True Romance (1992)
Starring Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, and Brad Pitt. Cinematography by Jeffrey L. Kimball. Edited by Michael Tronick and Christian Wagner. Produced by Gary Barber, Samuel Hadida, Steve Perry, and Bill Unger. Written by Quentin Tarantino. Directed by Tony Scott.
This film was directed by fellow Gods of Filmmaking talent Tony Scott and was sold by Tarantino to finance his earlier project, Reservoir Dogs. The film follows two lovers as they struggle to sell a recently acquired suitcase full of cocaine and the troubles and trials therein. It's story is loosely based on the 1973 film Badlands which is, in fact, based on the real life Starkweather-Fugate murders of 1958. Truly a Romeo and Juliet of the 90's, this film is packed full of everything that any solid Tarantino fan should enjoy. (Written by Quentin Tarantino)
