This Is Spinal Tap (1984)
This is a rockumentry/mockumentry about the supposed "world's loudest" rock band, Spinal Tap. A filmmaker follows the band on their farewell tour and captures the essence of what it is to be a washed up heavy metal band. Very funny look at the highs and lows of the business for this made up group. Interesting that all of the actors that portrayed the band are all actually skilled musicians and performed on the soundtrack. After the film’s release, there was such a cult following of the film that the actors got back together as the band and not only toured but released quite a few albums.
