The Crying Game (1992)

Won the Academy Award for screenplay written directly for the screen. Nominated for editing, director, actor, supporting actor, and picture. People still talk about this movie like it just came out; not wanting to ruin its surprises for potential viewers. It’s about an IRA rebel who befriends a kidnapped English solider. After the kidnapper is killed, the rebel goes to England on a promise to find the dead man's girlfriend and break to her the news. The man soon falls in love for the woman, but the relationship is soon tainted in a totally unforeseeable way. Jordan’s real break through film and his first and only Oscar. Absolutely fantastic. (Written and directed by Jordan)
