The 13th Warrior (1999)

A retelling of the old English poem, "Beowulf". The film certainly has it's goods and bads, but overall, not too shabby. It's about a man who is chosen to fight, along with a dozen Vikings, against evil demons who eat their dead. The man is not a warrior and has never seen battle, but his intelligence ends up saving them on more than one occasion. (Directed by John McTiernan)
