St. Elmo's Fire (1985)
A film following the eighties "brat pack" formula where a group of friends each want what they don't have and in the end everyone is either happy, just learns to live with it, or in love with each other. Alex wants Leslie. Kevin wants Leslie. Billy can't keep a job. Wendy can't stand her family. Billy wants his wife and kid back. Kirby wants girls and Kevin might be gay. Jules just has a whole gross of problems. Certainly Schumacher’s breakout project. (Written and directed by Joel Schumacher)
