Michael Collins (1996)

Nominated for the Academy Award for cinematography and original score. Michael Collins was the leader of the IRA and founded the Free Republic of Eire. This film is a docudrama of his life. Jordan wrote the first draft of this screenplay thirteen years before he had a chance to make it. The film took a very long time to finish due to the fact that they wanted to be very sure to not make it seem anti-English and cause problems for the current IRA. The film turned out to be very well excepted and respected for its straightforward telling of the well-documented historical facts. (Written and directed by Jordan)
