LibertyHeights (1999)
This story is not purely autobiographical, but has a great deal of Levinson’s life mixed into it. He wrote this film after reading a review of a previous film of his where the critic was generalizing his characters on superficial actions. He was upset that someone would just assume that because someone was a doctor, well to do, and called home every night that they were a Jew. So this film deals a lot with hate and racism issues. Very powerful and very highly critically acclaimed. Also, the forth Baltimore chronicles piece. (Written and directed by Barry Levinson)
