Last Action Hero (1993)
While John McTiernan may be a phenomenal action film director, this film had no prayer from the get-go. The idea is that a boy gets a magical golden ticket passport into his favorite movie star's world. He is literally transported into the movies and plays the action for real. But when the kid gets into the film, the film's antagonist slips out into the real world and wreaks havoc. God this movie was painful. Lame movie, great pinball machine. (Directed by John McTiernan)
