After failing at committing suicide and succeeding at being paralyzed, the only glimmer of light in a crippled man’s life is going to his local bar and watching basketball with his drunken friends. The film is more like real life than it is Hollywood with its vulnerable characters and inglorious situations. Heart warming and tear jerking. (Written by Barry Levinson)
