In Dreams (1999)
We damn near dropped into a panic attack during this film. The horrific underwater town sequences were almost too much to handle a sign of strength in what Jordan was trying to accomplish. While being a well-done film, beware of some more pretty disturbing material. The title refers to our main character's curse of seeing a serial killer's actions in her dreams. When she starts dreaming of certain members of her family’s deaths, her knowledge of details proves to be a little too exact and she is taken into police custody. But the nightmares keep coming. Full of beautiful imagery and thought provoking symbolism, but loses most of its viewers before it even has a chance to get going. (Written and directed by Neil Jordan)
