Chasing Amy (1997)

Smith has said that making this film was easy. He said that after the intense praise that he got from his first project, and the bombardment of criticism that came from his follow up, it wasn’t very difficult to go in and make a truly honest movie. And it is. It doesn’t follow a formula. It doesn’t conform to the genre standards. It’s heart warming and harsh and brutally real and funny. The story is of the relationship between two comic book artists; one in love with the other and the other a lesbian. Wonderful film and look for another great, feature loaded DVD. We appreciate that Smith is rewarding his fans with DVD special features. (Written and directed by Kevin Smith)
