Back to the Future Part II (1989)
Nominated for the Academy Award for visual effects. After the success of the first film, Zemeckis and Bob Gale, who co-wrote the first Back to the Future and most other Zemeckis projects, wrote a sequel titled "Paradox". The sequel was estimated to be over three and a half hours long so it was broken up into two parts, hence II and III. In the second film, Marty and Doc travel into a future that is run by the evil Biff. The film is probably the weakest overall of the trilogy as it doesn’t ever really end. (Story written by and directed by Robert Zemeckis)
