Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974)
Won the Academy Award for actress. Nominated for original screenplay and supporting actress. When Alice's husband dies, and she is suddenly presented with the need of providing for herself and her son, she heads for the West Coast to find a better life. After finding a job waitressing at a diner, she begins putting things back together. The television series "Alice" was based from this film. (Directed by Martin Scorsese)
