8MM (1999)
One of the dirtiest, nastiest, grungiest, most disturbing movies I can think of. A private investigator is called in by a very rich widow to research a movie clip that she found in her late husband's safe. The clip is of a young girl being beaten and finally murdered; referred to as "snuff porn". The investigator, in effort to prove or disprove the authenticity of the short film, is drug into the armpit of the earth and makes dealings with the population's worst perverts. Don't get us wrong, it's a good movie, but prepare to get a thorough mental soiling.
There is a particular scene in the film where a man pays two dominatrix to beat him senseless. Despite Schumacher’s request to stage the violence, the man was actually severely beaten as he had paid the two women ahead of time to do just that. After Schumacher realized what was going on he stopped it, but that footage is used in the film. Schumacher later said that that is the only part of the project that really disturbed him.
